Hey,

I currently have an 27" iMac 4K from Late 2014.
I am looking to upgrade this comptuer since Mac OS Monterey will not be supported.
I also have an small MacBook Early 2016 I use if i travel and want to use a computer vs iPad.

I am thinking about getting the new MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Max) + LG 5K Display
or wait for the iMac (27" or 32") Whatever it will be.

I am thinking about going to the 14" MacBook Pro + External Display and then in about 2 years when the MacBook is due for an upgrade wouldn't need to upgrade that and can use the 14" MacBook Pro on the go if needed.

THe only thing I don't like is the external Display cost . It seems like there aren't any other simialr dispalys and since I am already using that display on my iMac currently I don't want to go down to 4K. Unless there is another model display to go with please let me know.

So ideally should I go with the New MacBook Pro 14" + LG 5K Dispaly or wait for the New iMacs to come out?

Thanks,
Jeff

It's an MacBook M7 It's one of the small MacBooks that aren't powerfull at all..
And in Probabaly 2years it won't support the newest OS
Sorry, I misinterpreted your post and thought you meant you would upgrade the new 14-inch MacBook Pro in 2 years.
