Hi everyone, i'm using a 14 Pro Max and i changed my adapter, because the 20W apple charger is making my phone very hot. In order to reduce battery health degredation, i changed it to an 10W charger and the heat problem is resolved. However, last night i plugged in my phone and when i woke up 30 minutes ago i noticed that the phone has not been charged. It is still at 33% percent as i left it on charge last night. I disconnected the cable and plugged it in again and now it is charging without any problem. Last month it happened again with a 5W Apple charger and it is very annoying. Does anyone know the reason behind it?

My guess is that you have a buildup of lint in the charging socket of your iPhone, and the problem has nothing to do with the wattage of the charger.

I agree.

Either lint / dust, or possibly a loose connection (the cable itself).
