Tho tbf, 48MP ProRAW don't look any better than 12MP JPEG/HEIC on iPhone Pro Max camera, so I would not worry too much about it.

it looks a lot better actually. I compared both modes & the 48 mp RAW has visibly noticeable increased detail & clarity when zooming in & pixel peeping. when zoomed out, both look fine. the improvement with the binned 12 MP mode should be with low light scenarios
 
This is kind of annoying. I was hoping for the 48MP in JPG so I don't fill my phone with 75mb files.

Would also be nice if they gave us an option to turn raw on right in the camera.

Also. If you want to have RAW on by default just toggle this switch
