14 Sluggish/Glitchy

After updating to 14, my phone has started to become glitchy. After unlock the phone and attempting to use it after it being idle for a bit, resulted in a sluggish/no response to taps. Tapping an app multiple times did nothing. Then finally resolved. Same if I were to swipe the screen immediately after unlocking, keyboard key characters started showing up on the home screen even though no keyboard was there.

Now, typing out a message in iMessage has become lagged. I will type an entire word/sentence and then everything unfreezes and shows up.

I'm not the only one in my friend group having this issue. Wasn't a problem prior to 14.

Any ideas?

Don't see this at all on 2 iPad Pros and XS Max phone. Did you do a clean install with it? If not, it sounds like it would be worth doing with such severe issues.

Unfortunately I don’t have any answers but you’re not the only way. I tried everything besides downgrading to iOS 13.7.

I’m also experiencing:
1. When I'm on a phone call and receive an iMessage or text message I am not hearing the sound notification.

2. When I'm on a phone call and typing a message I cannot hear the keyboard clicks.

3. If I got send a picture, screenshot, website link, etc the people that I have conversations with aren't showing up. Instead, I have to click on messages and select the person in my contacts.

4. It happens more often than not but when I close out of the messages app and open up a message the keyboard or memojis don't show up right away. Also, when I close out and open messages back up the search doesn't appear until I move down the screen
