144hz FreeSync Monitor

I am planning to buy 144hz FreeSync monitor along with upcoming macbook pro with amd gpu (most probably it will contain amd gpu). Will it work?
If it does, which monitor should I buy.. I am planning 144hz 1440p 27 inch monitor.

To the best of my knowledge the AMD GPUs used in Macs don't have any driver support for free sync. I doubt this will change. I could be wrong though because its been a while since I looked into it.
