15.1 Broke Data on Cellular (T-Mobile)

Has anyone else had this bug? After I updated to 15.1 cellular data stopped working, mostly. I bizarrely still get Twitter notifications, but when I tap the notification to open the Twitter app it won’t load.

iMessages will still send and receive, but most websites won’t load, Overcast doesn’t stream, SpeedTest.net (the app) doesn’t work. This affects my iPad that is also on T-Mobile, but on a prepaid plan. The Apple Watch is the only device not affected by this update.

I thought this was a beta bug, and downgraded to 15.0.2 on beta 4, but this is happening again on the public release and am now downgrading back to 15.0.2 to have working cellular data again.

Apple support was of no help and told me to contact T-Mobile for support.

I’m baffled anyone else have this happen to them?

You probably have, but did you try 'reset network settings' ? ( settings - general - reset )

I found the issue - 1Blocker’s Firewall had a bug in 15.1 - manually switching it to HTTP as the proxy fixed this for me - can’t believe I didn’t think about that potentially being the issue before
