The 17" MacBook Pros have the option in the SysPref's to enable putting two fingers on the touch pad and then clicking and the result being a "right" click.

Anyone figured outhow to bring this to the 15.4"'s? Maybe a simple file swap in the prefs or something to that effect? I was hoping the SMC FW update would snag it, but it didn't.

everyone including myself is hoping its released in 10.4.7

If they release it, it will be in either 1) 10.4.7, 2) Leopard, or 3) never. Some features of certain Apple products will not enter different models, even if it is simple software. I know there are examples, but I am having a memory block, and the only I can think about is Front Row, which can be linked with an added selling point (but all Macs except the PM have them now so…)

here is how we are going to fix it

if somebody could poke into:

~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist

possibly by opening the terminal and typing in:
open ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist

and look for any settings that start with:
com.apple.trackpad that mention right clicking

or even sending me the whole file.
