15" Aluminum PB couple issues

Hi,

I noticed this strange thing with my 15" aluminum PB 1Ghz. If I run on battery until the battery is completely drained and the machine goes to sleep, it becomes extremely difficult to wake the machine. After plugging in the AC, it just will not wake up; it also will not shut down when I hold down the power button. However, if I persist in trying to get it to wake up, trying every 10 minutes or so, eventually it does wake up. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? (BTW, this never happens with manual sleep.)

Also, I find that some DVD's will not eject the entire way out of the slot drive -- they seem to go about 90%, then get kind of stuck. Are there any tricks or solutions to solve this? The drive works fine otherwise.

For the sleep issue, reset PRAM. Turn off the comptuer, power up and hold down Command (apple key) option P and R. It will chime once, and reboot itself. That will most likely solve the problem.

Im not sure about the disk drive.

The optical drive isn't meant to spit the cd all the way out so it falls, it keeps the end inside so you can safely pull the disc out without scratching it.

I have the wake from sleep problem occasionally. Closing it and opening it a second time seems to work. On the situation with the optical drive, it works as designed. If it threw discs at me, I'd be upset.

Resetting PRAM had no effect. It still seems the computer needs a few minutes (after plugging into AC after complete battery drain) to be able to wake up.

Well, maybe thats the problem right there. The battery is completely empty and the AC is trying to power it up again. Just a thought, I have no proof.
