So when you go to System prefs, then energy saver, Graphics - Better battery life or performance option.

What am I turning off when i select "better battery life'?
I had it on performance and the computer ran for 2 hrs on battery and would warm up to 160 F.

Do you have only 9400M or 9400M and 9600M GT? I think better battery option turns off the 9600M GT. If you're not gaming or doing hard video editing, choose better battery

9400M And it says 9600m GT.

Yeam im not gaming or editing video. So i turn on the 9400M with better battery.

But if i choose high perfromance it turns on the 9600m GT?

Is that all it does?

Is there anything else i can do to save battery life besides turn of wifi, bluetooth, and screen brightness?

You should be better of with the 9400M, although for some reason I am getting better battery life out of the 9600M GT. Although the estimated battery thing is a bit **** imo it keeps changing rapidly from 5h to 3h to 4h etc
