15" MBP support 2407WFP (24")

I'm going to sell my Macbook and buy a 15" MBP w/ the 128MB graphics card. I'm just double checking to make sure the MBP will support the Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP (1920x1200) natively?

(Also, is there a better 24" Dell monitor out now I should look at? I've looked around, but there's always that once that slips by)

I have a dell monitor, one of the newer revisions, and it runs fine. Although I wish OS X was more capable in its dealings with external monitors (I dont want to have to put my MBP to sleep and then plug in the external, it's wear on the hard drive for nothing)

I have no problems pluggin in my external monitor while the MBP is awake. Why do you have to do it when it is sleeping?

Also I have no problems with my 2407 plugged into my MBP.

I just bought a DELL 2407WFP last week and few days after getting one, my MBP arrived. I plugged it in and it works fine - looks really good too! So you should definitely get one now!

Oh I didn't mention, what I said is to have the MBP built in screen turned off. I find I don't like having 2 screens at once, especially since on my desk they are at extremely different heights. Plus the brightness of the Dell is higher.
 
my Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP (1920x1200) doesnt work properly with my MBP. The picture is not clear & sharp. Its blury. i thought it was a gpu issue, so i threw in windows xp pro in boot camp, and it displays fine on m 2407. When i boot it to MAC OS X, the picture is blury again. There are a lots of people who is experiencing the same issue with MBP and 2407.

i wish i could find a fix...

This is exactly what I had read elsewhere.
 
i think dell has the new 2407-HC with S-PVA panels that deliver 92% NTSC color Gaument

I saw that panel, it it looks like the 2407 is better for less that he 2407WFP-HC?

Is it the -HC that's giving the problems?
 
No. its not the -HC one. it is the regular one: UltraSharp 2407WFP 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor.

I went to the Apple Store and told them whats going on. They told me to bring in the MBP to the store, and they will test it on their displays. I'm pretty sure they its going to work on all the Apple Displays
