Saw a leak on tech radar with the supposed 15 pro and pro max weights.
Phone 14 Pro: 206g
iPhone 14 Pro Max: 240g
iPhone 15 Pro: 191g
iPhone 15 Pro Max: 221g

I was hoping the titanium would lead to a little more weight loss but I’m just happy the pros are finally getting lighter. My 13 pro has always felt heavy using it with one hand and I tried the 14 out but couldn’t get used to the 60hz screen. That would put the 15 pro in line with the 11 pro (189g) which with the lighter weight and rounded corners was much more comfortable to use than my 13pro. Take my money apple

That is strange for the iPhone 15 Pro Max to only be 221g, when the new iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumored to have a bigger battery at 4,852mAh.

This wasn’t a leak at all, but simply other tech websites being lazy for clicks and, instead of doing their due diligence, regurgitating a X post by a user who simply copied the “predictions” of a 9to5mac article that was posted on 08/25:

Yep. 9to5 said their guesswork did not take into account differences in battery or camera module. They just were estimating how much weight would be lost by switching to titanium. They know the weight of a phone with aluminum and a phone with steel, so they made an educated guess that is probably very inaccurate.

I saw it on a couple websites so was hoping it was legit. Guess not.
Still hopeful we see 8% or more weight loss. The closer they get the pros to standard 15 series the better.

Yeah, would be awesome to see some reduction in weight on the pro models. Hopefully it happens 🤞

… but the great news is that we don’t have to wait long to find out the official specs! 😃

I’m hoping for even lighter Pro models than what is being mentioned here. I’m also hoping they make the non Pro 15 models lighter than the 14 as well.

Ideally they will say the new pros are 20% lighter during the announcement but I just don’t see that being realistic. I feel like 10% would be the best we can hope for. I kept my 13 pro for 2 years because my only complaint about it is the weight and the 14 pro was the same so I’m looking to upgrade this year. If it’s got more rounded corners and weighs close to the 11 pro I’m all in.

I really hope the rounded sides come back as well, I hate the flat sides on my 13.
