After using multiple beta's of iOS 18 (developer and public) I have 89% Battery Health, Before IOS 18 released its 3rd Developer Beta I had 100% Battery Life, Dropped down extremely quickly when Apple Intelligence was activated.
I do not have a problem at all with IOS 18. However I wanted to ask you all that read, when should I decide to get a new phone? Or should I when the 15 pro can no longer be used past a few hours replace the battery. I know it is basically a 16 pro without camera control (In my opinion due to the 15 pro getting Visual Intelligence sometime ago) However I have no interest in really any new features that the 18 or 17 might bring, however if my battery degrades with the coming updates, I am open to upgrading

First, I suggest not paying attention, at least not so close attention, to the battery data. Rather, go by your real life experience. Are you getting the battery life you require to get through your day?

As to when to get a new phone, it depends, and only you can answer. For example, I tend to keep devices as long as possible, until the OS is no longer supported. My last device, an XS, wasn't lasting as long on a charge as I required, especially when playing podcasts. That is when I decided to get a new phone. Your decision will depend on your factors.

Don't get dwell on it. One day you will know it is time for a new device.

This helped a lot, I was just worried that the betas I get into or the updates that come, may be heavy on my phone. I had the XR before this one, (Bought the 15 pro on June 2024) So yeah, But overall thanks for opening up my mind
