I just saw a tv ad for windows tablet apps (all 3 of them ;) ). I young girl is painting on a tablet that appears to be at least 15", I cannot find any info on a tablet that size, does it exist or is it vaporware?

Just trying to imagine carrying around an 11 pound tablet. groan...

You wouldn't carry it around obviously. You move it to its next location, just as shown in the commercial. Is this a hard use case to imagine for you?

Is 11 pounds a lot to carry? You probably pay to (hopefully) lift many times that.

Carrying around 11 pounds is more than twice the weight of the 13" cMBP.

I would consider 11 pounds a lot to walk around with.

It's not a matter of strength but a matter of comfort and commuting anywhere with this wouldn't be comfortable.

LOL, Im saying you arent bringing this around and mobile computing on it. You are moving it to another place around your house to do something on it for a bit at another location and 11 pounds is nothing to move.
You think its use case is to bring it on the bus and to school at 20"?

In what way do you guys think you would commute with a 20 inch tablet?

I mean seriously

Wouldn't call it a tablet if it's not meant to be taken with you when you leave your home

Agreed. At that point it is real just a touch screen computer.

Except it has a battery for portability and can be used sans wires. Call it what you want, its got features that make it a big tablet or whatever you want to call it.

I never implied I would consider commuting with a 20 inch tablet or laptop for that matter. I just said 11 pounds is too much for carrying around a computer.

In the same way a 90 pound couch is too much for carrying around a chair.

It is marketed as a mobile desktop...the descriptions are pretty clear on Sony's website. It is intended for use as desktop that you can move around. Example: to the kitchen when you want to make something by following a Youtube tutorial.
