has anyone else noticed how bad the battery life is in 16.0.3
I dont see any abnormal drain, its just the same usage is now consuming much more battery

My usage hasn’t changed much over the past year and I always end the day with at least 50% battery left (7am-10pm).

iOS 16 has been quite detrimental to my 13PM's SOT ! It went from amazing to good.. Stand by is still just as it used to be, but usage per charge has decreased significantly!

I’ll wait till 16.1 before i make any resets , when is it supposed to be released

Not having any issues here with my 14 PM. Like @Lee_Bo said, I too get about 50% from 7 AM to 10 PM. And I use it for calls both cellular over wifi and app over IP for hours of meetings.

One thing I'd recommend instead of wiping the phone and reinstalling is the hard reset (not erase all data type of reset). You press the vol + then vol - then press and hold the wake button on the other side until you see the apple icon. That move is similar to restarting your MacBook or PC. See if that helps.

This 14 pro max battery life is not impressive at all. I thought it was fixed with the previous update but nah, not that great

My 12 pro max too a beating with ios 16. Lost 4% battery health in 2 weeks and was charging my phone 2 times a day. Went from 97% to 93%. My 14 plus doesn't seem affected by battery drain on ios 16

I have no complaints with battery life after iOS 16.0.3. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. In addition this video helped me immensely.

I had to stop that video at 2:23 after he turned off location services for Weather. Weather doesn't need to use GPS for your location, using WiFi and pinging Cell towers is good enough and uses less power. The people that produce these videos have no idea how iOS works.

I’m getting about 10 hours SOT on my 14PM.

I used to get 11-13h on my 13PM when I first got it last year, so I worry about the longevity of the 14PM device when it comes to battery life.

I think since everyone on iOS 16 who is on a device that previously could get iOS 15, is noticing a dive for the most part so I wouldn't throw in the towel on 14PM's capabilities until 16.1 or maybe even later... knowing Apple they'll say they figured it out in a bug fix but didn't, or did and will not address it publicly at all to leave it up to debate.

I just turned location off for the weather app. Now the widget shows the following.

Both of you got it wrong. He said to change the weather widget to your locale only where you live instead of it consantly pinging for location every time you go to nearby cities and towns. So let’s say here in Southern California I live in Irvine. So if I travel to Los Angeles Today it will still only show the up to date weather in Irvine instead of it shifting to my new location in L.A.
