For those with 16" 2021 MBPs or maybe even the 14 can anyone see shadows of objects underneath the speakers?

For example if I angle the laptop in certain lighting conditions I think I can see the rectangle shapes of the speakers themselves and possible some screws - anyone else seeing this?

I barely see the speaker holes on the 14" MBP, let alone see what's underneath them. You got Xray vision or something?

Hello! I think my macbook has a similar problem. Depending on the light, I can see the square of the speakers (on both sides) and the microphone (three points) under the grill. See the photo attached. I am also wondering if this is a defect or normal. I would be glad about any advise!

Pretty sure that's where the actual speakers are. The actual speakers do not run along the whole length of the holes.

Thank you! Does anyone have the same effect on their macbook? I've searched online and someone mentions it as a problem (but it concerned previous macbook versions). I'm not sure though. I am still in time to return it, the computer is new. Thanks for any advice!

I see the exact same thing you are on my 16 inch 2021 mbp and my reason for starting this thread was the same rationale to ascertain if this is how it’s supposed to be or if it’s a defect.

@Six0Four is correct based on the ifixit tear down I watched it seems like these are the actual speakers.

What I don’t know is if we are a few isolated cases of people who can see these things or it’s a commonality across the board.
Perhaps other people with the 2021 16inch mbps can comment.
