Hello,

I am not sure if it is my imagination or what, but the sound out of a new 16" MBP M4 Max just seems odd. It is like they try to make everything deeper than it is, and it seems to distort the sound a bit. There is a lot of pumped up bass effect, and I noticed it with a number of YouTube videos, and the videos at a number of sites.

It is almost like they did something to the sound to make it artificially deeper, but it then distorts a bit. I am not sure that makes sense. I get great audio out of my iPhone 15, but the audio out of the MBP is the worst I have experienced. Is anybody else noticing this?

I am probably going to take this thing back because of it. I see no other way to adjust the sound. It is disappointing. Does anybody else have any issue with the sound? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I have a 14" MBP M1 chip that has good audio, same for a 13" MacBook Air with an M2 chip. Just has a different sound. Some of the stuff just sounds awful on this 16.
