My setup:
*New 16MBP with AMD 5300M 4GB Intel UHD 630
*Samsung 49 inch monitor CRg49 5120 x 1440
*both above connected using a 4k HDMI to type C cable
*I keep laptop lid close
Problem:
during my workflow - samsung monitor is on, using it at 1440 resolution.
- I step away, screen saver eventually comes on, and then screen sleeps.
-when I come back to wake the computer the Samsung monitor is displaying the image in 1080 instead of the 5120
- I have to open lid and then close it again to get the 1440 resolution - driving me nuts.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? or know a fix?
