Looking into the 14” vs 16”, I’ve come across people mentioning the large chin/trackpad area and the fact is pushed the keyboard far away I guess? And that it sort of just feels “awkward” to use?

I of course don’t have this 16” in front of me and my local (non-Apple) store doesn’t have a display model.

Is this an actual… inconvenience? Or is typing on the 16” keyboard entirely fine? And the trackpad doesn’t get in the way/cause problems?

(I kind of can’t believe I’m asking about this issue… yet here we are!)

Things like that are really down to personal preference rather than any type of universal/generally accepted fact. The reason the keyboard is set further back on the 16" MBP is because it's the same keyboard used in the 14", just in a larger chassis. The 16" models take advantage of the larger chassis by making the trackpad larger. I have used both the 16" and 14" models, and for my use I prefer the 14" not only for typing, but also in terms of screen distance while in use.
