Not literal tears, of course lol but I just did a time machine transfer and sat with both the 16" MBP and new 15" MBA M2. Both are completely spec'd out except for having 2TB SSD.
I opened up Final Cut on both and loaded a project I was working on with R3D footage. The M2 rendered everything in the timeline (no ....... bar above the footage) in under 10 seconds, and the 16" took nearly twice as long, plus I could hear it already spinning the fans at a low speed to cool things down.
I am so freaking thrilled with this upgrade - beautiful screen, NO TOUCHBAR!, faster chip, and nearly a pound lighter. The audio is noticeably different between the two speaker systems, but hey, I have headphones!
