16 Pro Max Lock Screen staying lit

So I’m quite enjoying my 16 Pro Max so far, but one thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes the Lock Screen will wake up, and then stay lit and active, even if sitting with no interaction, basically until I manually hit the lock button. Happens almost every time wireless car play connects too, which I really don’t want. If I hit the lock button it stays off/ on AOD correctly, but if it wakes up it just won’t go back to the idle state sometimes (or all times with car play).

Is this happening to anyone else? I assume it’s just a bug that will be fixed in some point update, but wanted to see if I was the only one.

I got an iPhone 16 Saturday, having the same problem. At night my phone keeps lighting up for a notification, but then the screen stays lit. I dont have an always on display, so this must be a new bug related to the new iOS or related to a component used in the new iPhones.

I will say that I rebooted my phone and it hasn’t happened since the reboot, so maybe it’s just a bug after initial setup?

Yeah, just tried the same thing. So far it seems fixed.

I am having this issue with my 16 Pro. It will not auto lock and will stay unlocked on the lock screen with the device at full brightness. Very unusual

Happened to me yesterday also.

It used to happen a lot on my 14 Pro Max but I wasn't expecting it happening also on the new one.
