I use my iPod for jogging mostly. What I have noticed lately is that when I am listening to my iPod for more than 20 minutes it makes a pause between a song.

At first I thought it was the song itself since it happened twice during the same song but today I was listening to another artist and the song mysteriously paused for more than 5 seconds.

Any insights or opinions is greatly appreciated.

I heard somewhere that there a specific cache that the iPod loads upcoming tracks onto from the drive so it doesn't have to spin the drive so much... perhaps you deplete the cache and when the iPod has to get tracks the constant jarring from the running causes the pause (i.e. slowing the speed of data recovery)?

But that is complete speculation though...

I should note that I do not wear my iPod on myself when joggin. I use a treadmill and the machine itself does not move at all when I am running.

The iPod just sits on a compartment nicely.
