Sorry mods - please delete, I see I've put this in the wrong forum group.

I've tried to search for the answer, but I just couldn't find it. I apologize if this has been addressed before.

I have a very large music collection, and I'd like to load it into iPod Classics. I've been slowly downloading my cd's into iTunes in lossless format. I have also moved the library to a large external drive. (This is another issue - it's slow!) At any rate, my 160GB is now full. I have another classic to load more onto, but I know it's not as easy as just starting with a new one. I basically just want to keep my current iPod as is, and start loading the rest of my music onto the next iPod...and the next...etc.

Do you have any suggestions for the best/easiest way to do this?

Thanks for any help!

Create a playlist for the first one and sync it with that.

Then create a second playlist and sync the new iPod with that.

Thanks for your help!

I have an update. I did create this thread in the software forum, and I got a few ideas there as well.
What I eded up doing was creating a new library for the second iPod Classic. That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to do.

Thanks again,
Pat
