Ok, i'm in with the masses of audiophiles who were pissed at apple's "one size fits all" crap with the release of the 120 and the discontinuing of the 160GB. I want to know how to swap out the old 160GB drive with the new 240GB drive. How is it done? can it be done? what about the firmware? Can someone walk me step by step, cuz i really want 80 more gigs!!!!

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It is fairly simple as well.

The firmware should be stored on the logic board. Once you replace the hard drive and plug it in to sync, it should recognize right away the larger drive, and then all you'd have to do is format the iPod to Mac or PC.
