im really having trouble deciding if i should cancel my 16gb and go for the 32gb.A: I dont want to lose my place in the order que and then something happens and i dont get it on the 3rd even though it says it will still deliver.

I currently have a 16gb iphone and have 7gb left on it with only 1 movie on it and some music. Im wondering if the new ebooks and ipad apps will take up even more space than normal apps. What do you guys think, should i just go with 32gb to be safe?

How about 64GB?

I was going to get 32GB but decided the upgrade to 64GB was worth the money. I want to be able to put as much content on there as I can without worrying about storage space remaining. Video alone can take up a pretty large amount of space. For that reason alone I decided to bump it up! It' s money well spent!

In the past, they haven't shipped in the order that orders were taken. There were a lot of people complaining that their iPhone 3GS pre-order shipped after others who ordered later.

I wouldn't worry too much about losing your place as long as the delivery date is listed as April 3rd when you change.

Are you planning on keeping all your media on the iPad all the time? Personally I won't be. eBooks and apps generally aren't huge, but if you want to keep hundreds of them, they will take up quite a bit more room.

I went with the 32 instead of the 64 because I don't plan on putting a lot of my music on it that I have on my iPhone. I figure 10 gigs dedicated to video, 10 to music, and the rest for apps and books.

I say 16. Unless you plan on being away for an extended time how much do you need to take with you on a day to day?

I have a 32GB iPhone and other then the first week I got it I always have 25+GB free

Some people have large music libraries. Having 25+ gigs free seems rather pointless to me.

I say 16gb, and that Apple should let the ipad use/access memory space on any SDHC card you might plug into the SD camera card adapter. Then add a 32gb SDHC card to it. :)

I went with the 16gb for a few reasons.

First, I have a 16gb iPhone and while I don't carry all of my music around with me, it has about 7gb of free space (I actually have a whole gb of jailbroken related apps and things so really I will have 8gb free when the iPad is first launched).

On top of that, I don't plan on putting even the amount of music I have on my iPhone on my iPad. Not only do I not listen to all of what is on my iPhone, I will most likely use my iPhone over my iPad when listening to music before I fall asleep. I have a large amount of podcasts that I listen to in between classes, cleaning the apartment, etc which don't take up too much space.

I currently have 14 ebooks ready to be put up on my iPad and on average they are 2mb each. I highly doubt I will even come close to 1-1.5gb of ebooks on my iPad ever.

So after 4gb of music, 1gb of ebooks, 1gb of photos and lets say (really pushing it) 1gb of apps, that still leaves me ~8gb for movies. Thats 4 - 6 movies, and I doubt I will ever need more than 2 at any given time (especially considering I can download/delete on the go).

Is $100 or $200 worth the 10-15 minutes of checking boxes I will do over the life of my iPad? No.

16 should be plenty enough to get one through a couple of days, BUT - that then requires spending a lot of time rotating things off an on your iPad. Doing that with movies isn't too bad, but with music is a pain in the rear. I love having all of my music with me so I can impulse listen to anything at any time without having to think ahead of time on what I might in the mood to listen to.

I made a large selection of my music and it came out to 4gb equaling 2 days of music. So I suppose your "couple of days" is technically correct :) but it does mean continuous play for those two days. Those 4gb came to 798 songs or about 40 albums. I doubt the average user would even listen to so many songs in a week, but if so, there are some really cool things you can do with iTunes smart playlists to automatically sync new music every time you connect your iPad with only a few minutes of effort to set it up once.

Though I should say I can understand wanting to have your whole collection together, it is just not necessary for me as (even with a self-imposed limit of) 4gb is plenty to keep the best of many genres of music.

Ask yourself, are you going to be using the iPad as your primary storage for music, pictures, and videos? For a good majority of people this device will be a slave to their desktop/laptop. It will be a coffee table gadget that you can quickly surf the net, check email, and play games on. Occasionally taking it with you when you are out of town and watching a movie or two on it while traveling. If that is how you see yourself using the device then there is no reason to have more then 16g. Save the money and buy yourself a case and another component that you will need instead. If you are the type of person that is going to be using this as your primary storage and going to be wanting to save a lot of videos, music, and photos then I would recommend you getting the 32g.

Precisely, predominantly it will be used around the home and will likely return to a sync location almost everyday. How many holidays do people take in a year. That would really be the only time to pick and choose what to have on your iPad. For people who think they will watch a lot of video content especially movies... why? The screen is 4:3 the old school television ratio, your laptop and tv are already formatted properly and much bigger so that argument is out the window. Music? Do you really want to pick up something the size of the iPad to listen to music? Most if not all on here own an iPhone or iPod Touch. Really the iPad is specialized for ebooks and apps. 16gb is plenty for those.
