17" Intel iMac or 20" G5 iMac

Hey everyone, I need some opinions here. I use my Mac for very basic things, email, web surfing, word processing, etc. From time to time, I will make a movie or something. I always liked the idea of a 20" screen, so I'm wondering what everyone would choose if they had too. A 17" Intel iMac (stock) or a 20" G5 iMac 2.1GHz (stock)?

I would recommend the Intel iMac - though the screen is smaller, I think I would feel uncomfortable purchasing a computer based on a platform that isn't being produced any longer.
Honestly, I'm sure that both computers would perform all the tasks you need without hesitation, so if the screen is truly THE most important feature, then I'm sure that the 20" G5 will serve you well.

I have a 17" iMac G5 that I purchased ~15 months ago & love it!
I haven't ever felt that the 17" screen was too small, but I know that there are many others here who SWEAR by their 20" screens.

Either way, you're going to get a GREAT computer - congrats!

I'd go with the Intel iMac. If you really need more screen area then you can get an external monitor for it.
