Anyone know of any good ones out there? I was originally going to get the Incase one in the apple store, but nearly all of the customer reviews mention the strap breaking... Any ideas?

I don't know if Samsonite has a backpack for a 17" MBP but I've been using one for my 13" MB and I noticed that it's sturdy and provides a snug fit to the MB. I've actually dropped it once, and (i think) it provided enough protection to the MB that it's still running OK. got the pack 3 months ago.

thanks...the smart alec definitely looks nice, however, i've found this one http://www.crumplerbags.com/Cart/index.php?catId=5 it's the customary barge
That's the backpack I got! Well, ordered.. I ordered it last week and Crumpler said it'd be about a week before they shipped it (got the orange one), but it's not like I have the MBP yet so it's no big deal. I've heard nothing but good things and so I'm very excited to see if it lives up to it's good name. One of the major selling points for me is that it didn't look feminine and that it was relatively conservative. The whole idea of the backpack, besides carrying books along with the MBP and such, is to NOT draw attention to my rather pricey cargo.
