17’ MBP C2D noise problem-error code: 4SNS/1/40000000 : Th1H

I ordered my first Mac (Yes, after 12 yrs with PC, this is my first Mac, 17’ MBP C2D 2G/160G/Glossy) on Oct. 30th. I got it this Monday(Nov. 20th).
Yesterday, I began to install boot camp and WinXP, everything looks fine. After I finished installation and transfered all my stuff. last night, this happened:
Just turn on the MBP and let it idle, the temp will be 45C at most, but, the fan speed up and reach the MAX speed and stay there. So, it sounds like a jet.

I spend 3 hours and can not let the fan slow down...finally, I run the hardware test. It gave out error code: 4SNS/1/40000000 : Th1H

So, now, i need send it back and wait for the replacement---just before thanksgiving.

Do not know if anyone here have similiar case as mine.

Run the test again, but make sure the battery is fully charged. All I've got from Apple so far is that this is a problem with the actual Hardware Test code, not with the MacBook Pro.

Do you have CoreDuo Temp or some other program that can read the CPU temperature?

If I remember correctly, fans will automatically run at max if the signal from the temp sensor is gone.

I run the test 4 times. 2 times when I found the fan problem and another 2 times after I reinstall OSX this morning 2am. battery is fully charged in all these tests.
I do not know if the error code is due to problem of test code or not. But the fan problem is for sure.
reinstall OSX did not help the fan problem either.

yes, I also think that is the problem. for some reason (temp sensor broken? or the circuit controling fan broken)the fan is out of control.
I installed fan control. That program can not read the real fan speed. (A fan sounds like a jet only '1300rpm'). So, it seems to be the sensor problem.
I have not install program that can read CPU temp. The MBP is idle. So, if that CPU temp evoke the fan. That should be 'overheat' problem.
