This computer screams. This is my first mac in many years and is one of the best pieces of hardware I have ever used. This computer is not plagued with the problems that are described with the 15'' and would be recommended for anyone who thinks that size is not an issue. The wireless appears to be working fine and the any problems with the screen that people had previously posted seem to be fixed. It is my opinion that this is not running as hot as the G4 PB, other than right at the top. Other than that the heat is being disperced very well and is not bothering me at all. SUPER QUIET also no whine. I think all of the bugs may finally have been fixed!!!

Definitely glad to hear this...it gives me more hope that if I pick up a 17" MBP this week, that it might have a chance of being ok! Woot! :D Even though I know you mentioned that it wasn't all that hot, would you mind posting the temperatures that you're seeing at idle and full swing, just for the record. :)

There are a few others on the forums that have kept a very nice account of all the MBP owners temperatures...both 15" and 17". I think it's one of the thermal paste threads.

Has been on for the last 4 hrs plugged in and not and has not once made any noise... Still super quiet this is truly amazing... Is hot altough definetly just as hot as old 17'' PB. Everything other than right above the F keys is just warm. Get the 17'' if the size doesnt matter because the screen is goregous and just got an X bench of 117 so runs very well. I hope everyone else is having this success with their MBP's...

Congrats on receiving your MBP. Does the latch snap secure? Are there any gaps when the lid is closed? Is the display loose? (If you tilt it towards you, does the display collapse?)

Latch works amazing and the display is really firm nearly any angle and it will stay put!!!

Just got boot camp up and running without a glitch! No games yet because dont own any sorry :(. However planning on testing Half Life 2 on the XP half and many other games to see how they run, as of now this computer is sitting in my lap very comfortably and isnt that hot at all, just midly warm, then again all that I am really doing is transferring a few thousand songs from the IPOD to the MBP...:)
