Good news gang. I was talking to APPLE this morning about a credit on my card for my returned MBP. The rep I spoke checked the warehouse database (not the order status) and my machine is scheduled to shop TODAY!!!!

I ordered on the 25th of April, the day they were released and it's a complete BTO!!!

Anyone as excited as I am??

More anxious here (as in "to see if they've fixed the problems that the 15" ones have")...
 
I hear ya. I have my fingers crossed that since this is a new motherboard the issues would have been fixed. If the past issues were due to production errors, well, Apple has now had 4 months to deal with it. They must know what's going on with the current MBPs.

Hehe. Do you all know if the apple plant in China ships on a Saturday? The warehouse showed that mine was built and shipping 'today'. is that 'today' as in Friday for us or 'today' as in the next business day in China ..

I am about to call Apple and see if they can let me know if mine will ship today. Do you remember who you talked to?

Sean. If you go through the menu options, I used the one that was for returned machines. But he looked up the order status online associated with my account and it showed him production and shipping details directly from the warehouse database ...

Yup. It's shipped from the 'official' order status page. :D :D

Great. Any idea how soon they will be in stores? A friend's chomping at the bit for one. He practically had ordered a 17 inch Sony Vaio - because he needed some Windows specific software. Good thing Boot Camp came out before it arrived. I was able to convince him to go with a MacBook Pro. *whew*

No clue. If they're shipping today maybe they will be in the stores on Monday? I assume even the store models need to be shipped from Shanghai

Lucky. I had BTO 120G HD/2x512 RAM and ordered on the 24th as well, but still nothing as of 1 CST.
 
Sure thing. But why pics? It'll look the same as the Apple webpage won't it?

Heat/whine etc ... I'll put it through a full test and post here. If you guys have anything in particular you want me to test, let me know.

My order is supposed to ship May 16th :-(

Am I the only person to be worried about dead pixels here / I had a very bad experience with my last powerbook ...

Mine is shipping - delivery date slipped from 11th to 12th.

Are they coming from China or Apple's warehouses, b/c if it's Apple's warehouses it should only take a couple of days to ship, not the best part of a week?
 
I ordered mine the 26th in the evening and shipment date was originally the 10th.

It just shipped this morning (the 6th) from Shanghai.

We are getting the first batches of a Rev A product. What a gamble.

I've had 2 15" PowerBooks and 2 MBPs and all four had perfect screens -- no dead/stuck pixels at all. Based off of that plus the lack of threads about it, I think you're more likely to get a perfect one than not. :)
 
Mine shipped this morning as well. Just for comparison - ordered on the 24th (w/ ship on 8th, delivery on 15th), and delivery estimate is now on the 10th (with the slowest shipping too).
