17inch MBP battery>15inch ?

I read on the apple.com website that the 17 inch MBP has better battery life than the 15 inch. I currently own a 15 inch powerbook which will be replaced when Santa Rosa comes out I like things about both laptops but if I could have that extra screen realestate and more battery life, then that may tilt things towards the 17 inch.

The 17" MacBook Pro battery is physically larger then the 15" one.

I think thats because the battery is physically bigger on the MBP 17'
