18.2 Mail Show All Messages vs. Transactions

Does anyone know in the knew mail app when clicking a sender like Delta you have the choice to show just transactions or all messages. I can't seem to figure out the difference.

Different messages from the same sender will have different categories. Delta for example also sends promotional emails, not just order confirmations etc.
