I am looking for useful numbers to compare to my aging iMac (2.16 C2D with 7600GT).

Specifically, I am looking for frame rates (with shadows and without) at 1920x1200. The low resolution displays used by both the macbook and macbook pro don't cut it in my world, I expected much better out of the pro.

I am trying to find a dtr I can take on the road easily. At home it will always have a large monitor (currently 24 but I am leaning towards a dell 27) attached which I fully expect to use at 1920x1200 or better.

ps: don't point to barefeats, their between model benchmarking makes me gag

whilst i have no display to actually check this out for you, i would guess you would have between 20-30FPS, and that's just a guess. in native resolution with medium graphics settings i usually have between 35-50 FPS.

personally the display and resolution in native 1200x800 feels incredible to me! but then again, i'm used to my aged, breaking windows pc with a 7300GT

i could not even imagine what the game would be like with such a large display! must be fun though!

I've run it on my Macbook at about 25fps on an external monitor at 1680x1250. Not quite the resolution you were asking about, but close. Hope that helps!

Hi there,
i run WOW on 17" MBP 2.6Ghz C2D and it's fine... i don't have any problems with frame rates.
