If I buy 1Blocker Premium, will it block the Youtube ads for me? I'm already paying for Youtube Premium at $12.99 per month, but 1Blocker Premium is only $2.99 per month, unless I'm missing something. The website for 1Blocker Premium is not exactly clear on the issue of Youtube. It says it will help me block ads on Youtube while in Safari "more effectively." Whatever that means.

It used to but I don't know about now. YT has recently started aggressively blocking ad blockers and will popup a message to turn off your ad blocker.

Wipr, which I currently use, was working perfectly before but now it's kinda hit or miss. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes YT detects it. Today, it has been working perfectly.

Gonna be a cat and mouse game for a while I suspect.

It seems to be blocking YT ads properly. I'm on the 2 weeks free trial right now and tested a few YT videos on Safari. No ads, no aggressive messages, just playing videos normally. Ahhhh, feels like a peaceful throwback to ~2011 when YT didn't have any ads.

You could try the 2 weeks free trial and see if that works for you :)

No ads on youtube with Vinegar extension ;)
I use a combo of 1Blocker and Vinegar, and it’s hit and miss now. One moment it works fine, and then the entire YT page freezes, or videos refuse to play.

True, have been seeing some issues lately now too. The dev seems quite fast with updates, but I wonder if s/he can keep up with the update now that YT is apparently stepping up its game against ad blockers…
