I needed an iPod that I will permanently use for my car. I only need about 200-300 songs so I found a used but mint 1GB iPod Nano (white) for $50. Is this an OK deal?

Also, will it be safe to leave it in the car permanently? I've heard of iPod's malfunctioning when left in a hot place. It will be in the glove and away from any direct sunlight. We do get 100+ temps here, especially recently.

Any input appreciated, thanks!

Yes, i think that's a good deal. 2GB Nanos are being sold Refurbished by Apple for $100... Divide the storage in half, cost in half, it's proportional :p ... Yes if you look on eBay they are about that or more. $50 is quite fair.

$50 is a steal. I would love to get a Nano for that price. I don't know how flash storage works as far as heat goes, but it's never a good idea to leave anything in a hot car.
