I need your advice once again. I am thinking to add 1GB of RAM to my iMac (specs below). The question is, will it make a difference in how the system is performing? I would appreciate comments from those of you who have upgraded this way.

And, is Crucial a good choice for memory? Any other options in the UK?

thanks so much!

yep, it will make a big difference if you add an extra gig.

for ram in the uk, ive heard good things about ram from scan although i bought my ram off ebay, it was cheaper but much more risky. i only went 4 it because shadowmoses had bought the same ram from the same person on eBay and hadn't had any problems with it. scan is probably a better bet if you want a compromise between reliabilty and price. crucial is pretty expensive, you can usually get it cheaper elsewhere.

hope that helps a bit

1 GB makes a big difference and Crucial is not a bad choice in the UK or Europe. I ordered my last 2 GB there for my dual G5. It was much cheaper then others and it works great.
