Pure conjecture...who thinks the nMP is going to come standard with a 512GB SSD and like the new iMacs will have a 1TB SSD BTO option for $1k?

Also, is it everyone's understanding that the SSD in the nMP will be non-replaceable? So, if you want a 1TB drive you can't upgrade later. You'll need to order it from Apple that way.

What is a nMP?

Anyway, I assume there will be a standard SSD size, 512 sounds great. I wouldn't ever pay 1k for an SSD, ever.

nMP = new Mac Pro ala the one coming out before the end of the year.

Sorry for the confusion :D

from the product details seen so far; it looks like the nMP will be using the mini-PCIe FF SSD's; in which case it should be simple to upgrade them as larger sizes appear.

I would expect similar pricing to the iMac...
-256GB standard
-512GB add $300
-1TB add $800

Anyone selling these? Maybe I was looking in the wrong place but I couldn't find any through Macsales and a handful of other places I looked.

Not long ago, 1GB for $1 was cheap, and that was for HDD. It's a good option if available.
