I'm not, but I noticed I'm running version 7.9.4 on my iMac. I just went to their website and noticed there's a version 8, but for some odd reason, when I click on "Check for updates..." in 1Password, it says I'm running the latest version ? I'm on the latest version of macOS, so it's not a compatibility issue.
On my iPhone (latest version of iOS), it's version 7.9.5, which appears to the the latest according to the App Store.
Have you tried installing version 7 on your Mac from

EDIT: Saw on the 1Password forums that you have to manually download version 8 for Mac - can't do it through current app (strange they don't even advertise version 8 and link to it when you click check for updates). I just uninstalled 7 and installed 8. I normally add new logins, etc. through their browser extension, though.
My understanding is the the new version is purely the front end client software and doesn't make any (significant) difference at the back end. I am having no trouble syncing between iOS, iMac with v8, and MacBook with v7.
Maybe your v8 configuration is wrong in some way. My "upgrade" to v8 was just an update - there was no uninstall and re-install.
With your iOS 1PW 7 are you using a sync such as iCloud, etc to manage your vault or are you paying 1PW for a subscription (which stores your vault on their servers)? From what I understand 1PW 8 is subscription only with the only option being your vault stored on their servers. If you're not currently doing the subscription that could explain why your iOS 1PW7 couldn't find your data.
