1st Gen. 40 Gb Apple TV video problem

Im in serious need of help! My 1st Gen. 40 Gb Apple TV will not display any video wheather it is connected through HDMI or component. However, when I use a component cable I can hear audio. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

Try different cables...try a different TV. Process of elimination will help.

Have you done any types of hacks? Did this occur on a cold start? Or was it running in sleep mode?

Try recovery mode and see if you get video maybe an improper video mode was selected,

reboot the apple tv then immediately press and hold the "Menu" and "Down" (-) buttons for 10 seconds, or until the light on the front of the unit changes to an amber color.
