ive had iOS 13 GM on my iPhone X since last week; first ten AirPods have worked as they always have. Been using them tonight whilst trying out some Apple Arcade puzzzlers after the usual podcasts earlier on.

Interesting. I’ve had some connection with the first gen on 13.1. Sometimes I get the connect tone but the call won’t go to the Pods even though the Pods symbol during the call is illuminated. Sometimes they don’t connect at all.

might be somekind a bug.. i have lots of problem with airpods, apple watch and iphone after the latest official ios/watchOs.
