Hi,

I have the first gen 12.9 inches ipad pro. I love it except for one thing : black levels. I like watching movies on it but when it comes to darker scenes, it's a big grey mess.

It's not OLED, so it's normal. This 1st gen ipad pro doesn't have the "new" true tone/120hz display also.

I was wondering if the newer ipads pro are better with black levels. Once again, I'm not expecting OLED quality but if it's a little better I would be happy.

So if you had both ipad (first gen and newer ones with true tones) and you watch videos, do you see a difference ?

thanks

I switched from a first generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro to a third generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro a while ago. The black levels seem to be much better on the third generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
