i have a 10 gb ipod 1Gen, is it possible to put in a 80gb or so HDD and WHY WHEN I CHANGE THE BATTERY IT REFUSES TO CHARGE

Same. I did consider replacing the HDD in my 5.5 gen 80gb video (which is throwing up errors), but it's just not worth it...

Well another option you have is a 32gb cf card mod. Only other thing you need is a connecter that allows you to use the cf card. This way you could save battery life and get a very durable device.

Nah, they later made one with 10GB (I think).
Also, sh*t creek is spelled with four *s.

I would advise against upgrading the harddrive. Wait for the next iPod revision, by that time you should have saved up enough.

I sold my first gen 10gig for $30 bucks here, and it was completely dead. If it works you might get more like $50. I later found by original earbuds and sold those for $5. Sell dat and put it towards a classic.

ok to clear up A few things. I originally spent it s h ! t but MR
chsnged it. I want to keep my iPod because the spinny wheel is cool and I like to show it off. Also I do not need a classic because I have a shuffle a 3g nano a 4g classic and an iPhone. I have look at thehard driveand it is attached by some 5point torx screws has any one found where I can get a driver because ebay only has six point drivers.
