I'm looking to find out what the biggest hard drive I can put in a AirPort Time Capsule 802.11n (1st Generation) running firmware version 7.6.9. It currently has a Samsung 2T drive in it, but that's not quite big enough anymore. What is the biggest HD that it will accept and are there any recommendations about what would be a good choice for it, or have I maxed it out at 2TB?
It's been serving my needs just fine - other than I'm now up against the space issue. I modified the unit when I got it... removed the rubber bottom, cut a hole out of the metal bottom for the fan and added a screen over it, and attached rubber feet to it.
