looking to buy the iPad pro and already have a iPhone 10, will the iPad be set up exactly like my iPhone and sync all my settings and apps like it does when upgrading your phone?
Yep. Sort of. You will have to download the apps from the app store, but they are already purchased. Just tap the purchased tab and install.looking to buy the iPad pro and already have a iPhone 10, will the iPad be set up exactly like my iPhone and sync all my settings and apps like it does when upgrading your phone?
Completely forgot about this. Amazing! After turning on the iPad you can hold the iPhone next to it and it will ask you to use the settings thats on your iPhone. Only thing that would be different is adding Mail accounts, iPad apps, etc which you would have to do manually. When you sync with your iPhone, you will also get the same passcode. You will have to set up touch i.d. and add any passwords.
It takes very little time to set up.

This is excellent. Was not aware of this feature. Since the procedure mentions placing the 2 devices next to each other, I wonder what communication protocol is used... Bluetooth? I imagine if the new device is on a version of IOS older than the source device, you’d need to do an IOS upgrade first.
I personally wouldn't. I would set up as a new device and then go to your purchased tab and download the ones that are made for iPad.
