I currently live in a non 3G area so I am in EDGE service 100% of the time. I have a 3G iPhone and whenever I used to switch 3G on just for kicks my iPhone would look for 3G and then automatically switch back to EDGE. After the 2.0.1 update if I flip the 3G switch my phone will just say No Service and will not revert back to EDGE. Anyone else having this problem? What should I do? I go to Pittsburgh about twice a month which has 3G and I usually flip 3G on when I'm on the interstate so I flip between 3G and EDGE automatically. This seems impossible for me now.
Thanks

This used to be a problem with people getting just a minor 3G signal when EDGE was much stronger and it wouldn't switch. It looks like instead of fixing it, they just made it so that when on 3G you are always on 3G, even when there is no service.

I would call Apple Care and see if they know how to fix it, or mark it as a bug.

I have the exact opposite problem. I get good 3G coverage where I am but my phone seems so slip back to EDGE constantly and the only way for me to flip it back is by turning 3G off, and then turning it back on again. Real pain in the ass...
