I am in the market for a new Mini and am trying to decide if the faster processor is worth ponying up for. I plan to replace the hard drive with a 7200 rpm model I currently have and install 4gb memory. For average day to day use surfing the web, using itunes, etc. would I notice a difference between the two processors? I will rarely be doing some video work too - will the 2.0 be able to handle the job or would the 2.26 be a real upgrade? Thanks for the help.

You probably won't notice a difference with the average stuff that you mentioned. There will be a little difference in speed with the video work though.

...you'll get more benefit from maxing out the RAM and the faster HDD, DIY and save the $$ on the other processor or wait until you find a refurb...

Bumping from 2GHz to 2.26GHz will make a slight difference for video editing and encoding, but you're unlikely to notice it unless you do a lot of intensive work.
Even then, you're talking the difference between 20 minutes and 18 minutes for a comparible encode - if that.
You'd get a more noticeable improvement if you upped the RAM, which should be your first priority.
