Intel Pentium D processor 805 2.66GHz, uses 533MHz processor system bus and sports 2MB level-two cache (1MB per core). The processor was originally expected to become available in March, 2006, but the plans may have changed and the new central processing units (CPUs) are available for purchase now for $150 USD.

Im not sure. But I would guess this is a desktop chip that would suck a lot more power than the Duo. So, even if it is faster you would be sacraficing battery life.

Pentium D is based on the old, out of date, high clockrate, high power, low performance Netburst architecture. Pentium D at 2.66 GHz runs slower than Core Duo at 1.66 GHz, and it has no chance of ever fitting into a notebook are an iMac due to overheating.

I'd rather have a Pentium II over Pentium D
