Can someone offer any reassurance that the base 2ghz iMac will be okay for Final Cut Pro? I know it's only .4ghz slower than the next model up, but I'm getting itchy that it won't be able to keep up eventually...

What is your definition of eventually, and it is more like .8 GHz slower.

I run final cut pro on a 17inch 2ghz (white) imac and its quite fast, large projects (multiple timelines, lots of effects, large high def files etc) really start to clog the system up though, I'd say go for the 2.8ghz or 2.4 at the least
