Ever since the upgrade, my atv has been acting up. Sometimes, when trying to watch a movie, it will say not authorized to play this or unsupported format. Even when playing podcasts, it will say there are no podcasts on itunes. Any of these problems have occurred while trying to start a movie/podcast, or during a movie/podcast--they just stop.

I have an airport extreme router set to n only, it has never given my a problem. I have itunes updated to the latest version and my files are stored on an external HD connected to my imac that serves itunes to the atv.

Before 2.1, I never had a single problem, now I can't even finish a single movie.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?

Actually, you're describing a lot of problems that people have had with 2.0, most of which have cleared up with 2.1.

Apple issued a AEBS update a week or so ago. Did you do the upgrade?

If so, it certainly sounds like a wireless issue.

absolutely did the wireless update. I just restored to factory defaults and currently am re-upgrading. I thought it sounds like network issues too, but I have never had any such issues and all my other computers on the network are fine. Like I said, it is set to 5ghz n only, and there is not another n network anywhere to be found, and the router is within 20 ft of everything....
so it should be working pretty well.

edit--re-syncing my photos shows my imac output at 2MB/s

restored my base station and re-entered all the info to recreate the network. Will see if that helps..

I have had so many issues with my AEBS and it's instability with my ATV and other computers that I finally snapped and went out over the weekend and picked up a NetGear dual band router. It has only been running for 2 days, but it has been flawless and I have not experienced a single dropout.

I may give the below a shot, but it is just more of the same on this thing. No disk support with Time Machine and now no stability unless I throttle bandwidth back. Very disappointing to see such a crappy product as my AEBS from Apple.

well, the thing is, it was perfect before the last round of atv/aebs/itunes updates--they all were so close I don't know which caused the problem. It has worked fine since I bought it in February.
