Hello,
I have iphone 3G that i upgraded to 2.1. Now my battery doesnt last for more than 12 hours even when im not using the phone. I only have cycorder installed; can anybody help me fix this problem

Battery Life 2.1

Check you settings for email if you are not using a push service such as @me or Microsoft Exchange. Make sure it is set to fetch the mail on manuel otherwise it will drain the battery quick. My only other suggestion is to do a full restore and not off back up you might have a memory leak somewhere in the phone that is causing this to happen. I had this issue with a 1st gen iPhone. Also you might want to send it in to Apple as it might have a short somewhere in the battery or the soldering points might have come loose during heavy use. Have you been noticing it has gotten warm? that would be a sign if it has been getting extremely hot

Hello,
I already have push set to off and manual. Also, i have noticed that my phone does get slightly warm during the day. I cant take it to apple since i live in the UAE and a friend got it for me from the US. As, for a full restore, im not sure i want to do, as i have a lot of music, contacts and videos on my phone. Any other ideas?

I thought the whole POINT of push was that it used less battery than fetching. That's why it was invented.

All this media doesn't exist on your computer too?
