First i was wondering if there is really a huge performance difference between the 2.16 ghz and the 2.33 ghz imac 24 inch. Is it worth the extra $250.

Second the macbook pro and the imac specs seem the same for me at 2.33 ghz. What is the difference. Will the performance be the same knowing that apple calls the macbook professional and the imac consumer. Will a maxed out 24 be more professional?

Thanks for your help

The 2.33GHz isn't really worth it over 2.16GHz, its hardly any increase at all. Matching models between the iMac and the MBP would perform pretty much on a par although the iMac has different graphics cards. A maxed out 24" would on the whole perform better though due to the 7600GT being a better graphics card. Whether its more 'professional' though, I couldn't say! :p
